Similar LLC ("Intersoul," "we," "us") operates Intersoul. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Name, email, username, password, and account preferences.
Payment information. Your card or payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. We retain limited records such as transaction IDs, billing history, and the last four digits/card brand.
Age and identity verification data. To unlock adult content, you complete verification through Veriff, our third-party identity-verification provider. This process collects a photo of your government-issued ID and a selfie/biometric facial scan used to confirm your identity and that you are 18 or older. This verification is performed by Veriff under its own privacy terms; we receive a verification result, age confirmation, and limited associated metadata. Where biometric data is involved, we and Veriff handle it in accordance with applicable biometric privacy laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) where it applies.
Conversation data. The messages you exchange with AI characters, and related usage, which we process to operate and improve the service and to enforce safety and moderation.
Technical and usage data. Device and browser information, IP address, log data, and cookies or similar technologies used for authentication, security, analytics, and service functionality.
2. How we use your information
We use personal data to provide and operate the service; process subscriptions, renewals, and token purchases; verify age and identity and gate adult content; run safety, moderation, and content-filtering systems; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; provide support; comply with legal obligations, including mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse material; and, where permitted, communicate with you about your account.
3. Additional information for EEA and UK users
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, Similar LLC is the controller of personal data processed for Intersoul. We process data to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in security, moderation, fraud prevention, and service improvement, and, where required, on the basis of your consent, including explicit consent for biometric or other special-category data. You may contact [email protected] to exercise your rights, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
4. How we share information
We share personal data only as needed with:
- Veriff for biometric and ID-based age verification;
- our payment processor and acquiring bank to process and secure payments;
- LLM and AI infrastructure providers to generate AI responses under contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms;
- service providers for hosting, analytics, fraud prevention, customer support, and related operations under data-processing agreements;
- authorities when required by law, including mandatory reporting of CSAM, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Verification data is retained per our and Veriff's policies and applicable law. For biometric data, deletion follows the timeframe required by laws such as BIPA where they apply. Conversation and account data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, safety, support, and fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring, to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately to any incident.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent, including consent for biometric processing. To exercise a right, contact [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law.
8. Age requirement
Intersoul is for adults 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it and terminate the account.
9. International transfers
If we transfer data across borders, we use safeguards required by law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change, and material changes will be communicated as required by law.
